We’re excited to welcome Liv Davi (She/Her) as our newest Digital Project Manager! Coming to us with a significant history in communications, digital platform management, and the arts, we couldn’t think of a better person to join our “Clique.”
Here’s a little bit more from our conversation.
What brought you to Clique?
“The vibes of Clique are aligned with what I was looking for. Looking at the site, there are a lot of interesting projects and an emphasis on encouraging employees to have very full lives outside of work. I resonate with that on a personal level. In my entire career, I’ve never given up dancing and aerial.”
Brief sidebar – let’s get into dancing and aerial!
“I’ve done dance and theatre my whole life. Didn’t find aerial arts till 2014, but then I really fell in love with it. I’ve done it for 10 years now. I’ve performed all over California and some other parts in the US. But now I’m in more of a teacher role.”
I pretty much had to include this shot, right?
Describe your professional journey before joining Clique.
“I have a bit of an eclectic background. I studied communications ultimately. However, I started in art history, then graphic design, and then communications—didn’t know where I was gonna go at the time, but I am happy with how it turned out.
After graduating I worked for a few publications, one of which required me to run their 8 national magazines online in WordPress. That’s how I got into the digital space.
Then I stepped into project management and have been doing that for around 5-8 years. It’s really helpful having knowledge in WordPress.”
What are you most excited about being here?
“The team. Everyone across the company is hard working and really good at what they do. It’s intimidating but inspiring.”
What did you want to be growing up?
“I wanted to be a Broadway actress because that includes singing, dancing, and acting. It’s fun to be someone else and take on those personas.”
What has been your favorite role?
“Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. I had a lot of stage time as that character and the cast was amazing.”
Current obsession?
“My community—this year has been personally difficult on multiple levels which really taught me the meaning of having an intentional family. I learned how to lean on my whole community for support, not just one person. I guess I’ll say I’m obsessed with my partner, best friend, cat, and aerial students.”
Of course, we have to talk about your cat!
“It’s actually a wild story. The first pet I had was a dog. After 10 years, he went missing, and I was heartbroken.
A year and a half later, my housemates asked if I would consider getting another dog, I wasn’t sure. The next day I went to an aerial practice, and saw a little orange tabby across the parking lot. This studio was not in a residential area, so I rescued the kitten. I did everything to find his owner, but no one claimed him. So, I adopted him! He’s my “universe cat.” I named him Oliver and he’s the best: super social, love naps, snuggles, and playtime.”
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
“A generic one where you get the day off work, like President’s Day or Memorial Day.”
What does your ideal weekend look like?
“I like them to be planned out and busy.
Ideally, a day full of activities with different friends—going to a yoga or aerial class, having breakfast, going outside for hiking or other activities, going to dinner at a friend’s place, then out dancing. Sundays are the same but with grocery shopping.
Also, I am currently checking off hiking/rock climbing to all the tallest peaks in California, only 4 left out of 16.”
Crazy flex right before the buzzer!
By the end of 2024 I want to _______?
“Be out of 2024, this year feels cursed.”
The great thing about time is that it keeps marching forward. We hope your 2025 will be brighter, we know ours will be with you on the team!
