Megan Wenzl

Megan Wenzl currently serves as the head of outreach and community on the marketing team at Clique Studios, an award-winning website design, development, and marketing agency. Megan is responsible for overseeing the growth of outreach at Clique.

Before joining Clique Studios, Megan held several content marketing positions of increasing responsibility at ReviewTrackers, a review software company.

Prior, Megan attended graduate school at Columbia College Chicago for journalism. During that time, she gained writing and reporting experience during her studies (in and outside of the classroom) and as an editorial intern at Eater Chicago. In graduate school, Megan also spent some time as an intern for Dzanc Books, an independent press that impacts communities nationally with efforts to promote literacy.

She began her career in Muskegon, MI at MLive, where she served as an intern news reporter and met dozens of fascinating people. She covered local art, entertainment, business, and breaking news.

Megan chose to study journalism at the graduate level because she enjoys telling stories. More importantly, though, she enjoys talking to people about their stories and what they do. Megan’s professional passions — writing and building relationships — came from her short, but meaningful period of journalism experience.

In her marketing career, Megan has contributed to a variety of blogs and publications including Entrepreneurial Chef, Sprout Social, Clutch.co, Hotel Business Review, Social Tables, Convince & Convert, and Golf Business.

In addition to writing, she has been a radio guest on the talk show The Mitch Albom Show to promote research on online reviews of baseball stadiums. She was also a featured guest in a #ReviewChat online event.

Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Western Michigan University and a Master of Arts degree in journalism from Columbia College Chicago. She also has completed course work at John Cabot University in Rome.

Megan volunteers in the community when possible, with a focus on cancer support charities. She enjoys watching shows and movies, reading, long walks, and learning about biomechanics. Megan grew up in Novi, Michigan, which is near Detroit. She currently lives in Chicago, where she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the city.
