We’re thrilled to welcome Matt Czencz (He/Him) as our newest Full-stack Engineer! With an incredible background in Game & Interactive Media Design, Matt pivoted to UX Design and Full-stack development to broaden his skillset. Here’s a little bit more from our conversation.

“I was looking for more of a challenge, somewhere that would push me to learn new things. I also wanted a workplace that had more camaraderie.”
“I had a snowballing development career. I started off doing mom-and-pop boutique fitness sites, and then moved to non-profit with the YMCA. Then, my tech stack exploded and I began working with big teams and big clients.”
“This is a place where I can make a lot of impact and get valued feedback. Here, people are receptive to new ways of thinking and trying things out even if it doesn’t work.”
“Hanging out with my wife and kid, we like to go hiking with our dog. Otherwise, we will spend time out back with the dog and cat.”
“Bandit is the Border Collie and Gus is the tabby.”

I’ve just noticed that Bandit’s eyes match Gus’s fur. Too perfect!
“I love border collies, I wanted one so bad. My wife would have said ostrich, though. Maybe a wolf-dog? Something more wolf-sized.”
“Lawns—back lawn and front lawn. We had them landscaped but I got into a mode of making sure they are as green as possible. I’ve never been a green thumb except for yard work.”
“Christmas, because everyone is around. My Mom LOVED Christmas so it rubbed off on me.”
“Playing drums, that would be really cool to do.”
We have a few drummers at Clique, so you’re in luck!
“Be preparing for kiddo number 2.”
Welcome to the Clique, Matt! We know you'll be a game-changer.
