MAY 8TH Denver, COClique Studios, an award-winning design and engineering agency based out of Chicago, is expanding to Denver. The agency creates digital experiences for high-growth organizations. Best known for their work in education, health care, finance, non-profits and funded startups, Clique Studio is responsible for recent website launches and online projects for Delta Dental, Special Olympics Chicago, Roche, Northwestern Law School, and the Chicago Venture Summit.

“We put the growth of our work and our people ahead of any other definition of growth,” said Derek Nelson, Creative Director, Clique Studios. “We’ve been fortunate to grow 1500% over the last 5 years. We haven’t taken investment or relied on any short-term strategies to get there. For a decade, every year has been bigger and better than the last.”

Clique Studios is well-known for innovative technology projects that move well-beyond website design. One notable project helped the City of Chicago devise and build the Chicago Neighborhood Energy Challenge, an energy savings competition. This included the original branding and messaging, a targeted marketing effort and a beautiful new platform that pulls and ranks data from utility providers. By coupling these efforts with a ground campaign, Clique Studios helped residents save on their energy bills in an interactive, fun way.

Clique 5280, as the Denver office will be affectionately known, is working on similar innovation for the City of Denver, set to launch during Denver Startup week in September 2017, focused on engaging residents and visitors with Denver’s public art installations throughout the city.

“There is no better city to expand our services than Denver. Our clients and employees have roots here, so, this is the perfect next step,” said Ted Novak. “We’re looking forward to hiring a small number of Denver’s top talent. We believe that if we selectively hire, create opportunities like Clique University and Clique Ventures to get better every day, and truly invest ourselves in our client’s goals and community good things will follow.”

Clique Studios is also renowned for driving technology and skill advancement with two pioneering programs, Clique University and Clique Ventures, which makes the firm especially enticing to talent. Clique University offers a modern apprenticeship program, ongoing employee education and education opportunities for the community at large. Clique Ventures is a sandbox for innovation spinning out companies like HappyMeter (
