From the press release:
Chicago, IL – Clique Studios, a leading digital agency based in Chicago, announced today that it has hired Brent Williams as the Director of Education to lead Clique University (Clique U). Clique U is an educational and training institution with curriculum designed to develop the next wave of digital innovators.

Previously, Brent Williams was a founding member of Startup Institute Chicago, an early team member at the Nation’s largest leadership development program (the Arizona Blue Chip Program), and earned a Master’s degree in Education.  As Global Head of RampUp at Startup Institute, he led the team that developed and launched part-time training programs across the globe in Boston, Berlin, Chicago, New York City, London and Providence.

“What interested me in this opportunity was the access our apprentices will have to designers, engineers, and marketers that have such deep client experience,” said Williams.

A first step on Brent’s agenda is launching the Modern Apprentice Program (MAP), targeted at junior-level engineers and UX designers without professional experience but that have shown dedication to their craft.  With personalized growth plans as well as a dedicated mentor, apprentices will be challenged to get to the next level with the support they need to succeed.

“We’ve been able to prove ourselves a good place for junior folks to receive the support they need to grow into more senior roles. The goal is to double down on that advantage, and make personal and professional growth a guiding business principle as we scale,” said Derek Nelson, Partner and Creative Director.

All apprentices will build and grow competencies in developing enterprise websites and web applications using curriculum based on Clique’s established methodology for client delivery.

“The day we hired our first employee, we had “Clique University” as a button on our website.

The goal has always been to leverage the real world experiences we are fortunate enough to gain through our client work, to learn and enhance our practices to keep doing better. Evolving from a blog to an actual structured curriculum is exciting to see come to fruition,” said Ted Novak, Partner and Managing Director.
