We are thrilled to welcome Brendan Hufford to the Clique team, expanding our marketing arm as an SEO Specialist. Brendan is a jack of all trades—outside of being an SEO wizard, he was a teacher for 8 years, an assistant principal for 2 years, and has started his own companies. I was able to sit down with Brendan and get to know him a little better. Here are some highlights…
What are you most excited about being here?
“I was teaching full-time and building businesses on the side and doing a lot of SEO work, so I’m really excited to focus on one thing and go all in. I really admire Clique’s focus on one of the metrics of growth—the focus on the work. I think because of my decision to come here and be focused on just the work here, I’m going to be able to do great work.”
We certainly think so, too.
What does your ideal weekend look like?
“Being able to compartmentalize my time. Time for family, work, and fitness. I love when I can accomplish certain things and then devote the rest of my time to something else.”
I’m learning Brendan really likes to focus and get stuff done. Think he’s going to be pretty well-liked around here.
If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?
“Mini killer whales. A little family of them living together. If they were mini, I wouldn’t feel bad about having them as pets because they’d have plenty of room.”
“Nachos. Maybe tacos. Like an absurd amount…quantity matters here.”
All of the nachos, please.
If you could be the best in the world at one skill but bad at everything else what would that skill be and why?
“Empathy. You can be bad at so much, but when you can really empathize with people, you can do a lot of great things.”
New TV show you’re loving?
“Master of None.”
Apparently, Season 2 is killer. Adding that to the Netflix queue…
Any cool trips you’ve taken lately? Or planning to take?
“We like to go camping. The Indiana Dunes are amazing, just 30 minutes from here. We take the whole family. I just really love my kids.”
Great Dad Award.
What place, activity, or person relaxes you?
“Place would be nature—beach, woods, mountains, doesn’t matter. Activity would be reading. And by myself.”
That sounds pretty ideal…So excited to have you on board, Brendan!
